turn signal switch

good evening, i need a turn signal switch for my 69 Charger. I have heard that some of the switches available have some issues and need some work. Was wondering what brand to buy, or who to buy from? Thanks

@Slantsixdan sells switches made by the original Chrysler supplier.

I just replaced one and went through this discussion. Buy NOS. The one that was defective was Chinese crap. Only lasted a few years. All the auto parts stores switches are Chinese crap. Put a post in WTB on this board or shop eBay.

NOS is the best bet by far. Only downside to them is how much they cost.

I second slantsixdan. This switch will work perfectly. Any of the other off the shelf stuff I purchased did not.

I only pd $80 for my nos one last year , But its for my 66 ( and NOT for sale )

if you have ever had a electric part fail / melt down as it is 12-v constant voltage i.e. battery supplied you learn do not go cheep on parts had an aftermarket fuel pump module melt a harness as the pump hummed and let out the magic smoke out

I believe Dan and another fellow found the original prints and supplier information. They took their money and had so many built.

I have used Dan's switches as well. If you don't want to spend the $ on a NOS, his are the next best option by far. The only thing I don't care for with them is that the lane change feature is not built into them like oem 1969 and later had. Whereas you can gently hold the arm up or down to get flashing without having it click into position.

I ordered mine from Rockauto, I believe it was around 80$. Good quality and works like it should

You can find a switch for a C Body that will work for around $180. Exactly the same mechanism only with 3 extra wires.
