Turns out it wasn’t photoshopped

No it’s not, I heard he got the other two out of there before it hit. Those were up on his lifts... that’s sad to see! I think they both will be restored, I hope the insurance companies done destroy them. Save them!

sad either of them was hurt
let alone flipped over on the top/wing

so do all the photo experts still say this was faked?

Said the daytona was on the lift.
Yet one on the lift had black wing.
One damaged has white wing

Nobody knows how old that photo inside the garage was.....just saying. Cars may have been used and switched around weeks ago.

The good news out of this was the owner survived and he saved his other Daytona that he'd had since he was 16.
The bad news is that even though the cars look relatively unscathed, the restoration will be huge as salt water has got into every panel seam, chassis rail etc. Apart from the damage to the engine, wiring, interior, I reckon you'd have to strip every body panel off, floorpans even(?) to get the salt out.

im surprised the wing is holding the weight of the superbird, i would of thought it would of broke under the weight of the car when it was turned over or at least buckled where the wing brackets are in the trunk, the sheetmetal still looks pretty good from the angle that i can see. i guess the wing and supporting structure are tougher than i thought, either way its sad to see...Rich

Most of the weight is on the roof and forward portions of the car. That wing at superspeedway speeds would have at least 600 lbs of downforce and of course there is a design factor-of-safety to boot for the structural load path. Ergo, the wing doesn't have any trouble supporting the upside down car when most of the car's weight is resting on the roof and forward portions. That's my armchair engineering handwaving explanation for tonight. :D

They can have their baby back on the road in a year. It's just cosmetic sheet metal damage. :p

Why I always laugh when people give us grief for sitting on the wings of our own cars....

It's not about the owner, he had plenty of time to get them out of the storms path. i feel sorry for the guy who put hundreds of hours of hard work in restoring those cars only to see them get damaged from a disaster that was predicted to happen several days in advance.
