I live outside Tucson Arizona......there are dozens of film sites around here.

They filmed Discovery's Fear Fighters, Risk Takers and a Daily Show real close to me. Actually they called me when they were on the way from Canada. Well, truth be told, I was in the general area. I sorta helped them for a few days. Would you believe that I snuck in front of the camera real quick? All right, all right, I was in the shows. Ok, dammit I was the star, so quit buggin me. I will sign my picture from National Geographic and that is it. No interviews!

Shafts "Big Score" filmed in the early seventies. A Mopar and a Ford chase scene!!
The area is all retail stores now. Then it was a swamp.

Oh man, A lot of films were shot in Evanston, IL. where I grew up.
About Last night
The Uncle Buck house
The Weatherman
16 Candles
Home alone 1
Home alone 2
Countless others I'm sure along with Northwestern Univ. and Lakefront scenes.

Holy **** Batman! I can't even afford to live in my own hometown, I can't even afford the tax bill for cryin out loud!!!

Evanston home where the 1980s teen film ‘Sixteen Candles’ was filmed listed for $1.65M – Chicago Tribune

We had Edward Scissor Hands fimed in Lutz. About Hour away.
The Punisher was filmed in Tampa
Also about an hour away.
The mansion they used was one of my classmates. He went on to be an NBA player.
Also, I think it's called Dolphin Tale. Was filmed in Clearwater.
About 1 30 minutes away.
And Elvis visited Weeki Wachee in '60 or '61 he had to check out the Mermaids.

This is not too terribly far from me.

It's been in several films, most notably "Edward Scissorhands".

Up to about 10 years ago, in that back corner at the end of the walkway next to the sushi bar, was a model shop with a fairly good selection of 1/25th scale cars.
I see the sign is still there in this pic.
Crowder hardware store still there... Best little hardware store around

Eugene OR, 78-79, where "Animal House" was filmed..... I had just gotten married and was building a home ( working on it every night after work and all weekend) so I did not get a chance to go into town and party with the crew like some of my friends did.......
Not enough blacks there to film the bar scene and they were bussed in from Portland.....

Supposedly Tom Hanks and a film crew were at Downtown train station within the last week, filming something for his upcoming movie A Man Called Otto. Toledo, Ohio.

If you watched the tv action show 'Peacemaker', it was shot around my town. This was part of the set. It is currently stripped clean and unused. Previously, that corner store was Dan's Electronics, which had used the location for decades. I used to shop in there.

Meanwhile, a few blocks away, the set for Smallville was constructed from scratch.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry..... the orchard scenes, grocery store and other segments were filmed a couple hours south of me east of Tracy, Ca. The store was near Angels Camp.

Don't know if I replied to this thread before or not but Urban Cowgirl I mean Cowboy.....a lot of filming was done about 10 minutes away at the Gilley's club which was burned down in 1990. I lived in Houston (barely) at the time of the filming but was still about 10 minutes away only west of the joint. Now I,m 10 minutes east of the burned out place :D Not much trace of the place anymore but I think the sign might be still standing.

Too many to list and they get in our way ALL the f'n time with their food trucks, lighting trucks, generator trucks, etc. etc. Clogging sidewalks, taking up valuable parking, the cause of much rubbernecking.
Like we don't have enough friggin' things causing NYC traffic all the time!
(I used to dig it when I was younger, now as an old cranky bitch, not so much.)

Went to pick up some breakers at a supply house in Conyers. And they were setting up some film shoot across the road. Turns out its some DC comics show called Doom Patrol with Brandon Frazer in it he plays some goofy looking robot. But I will post a picture of the weird looking prop that was out in the open. Then a screen shot of that prop.

Some 15 years ago there was a movie filmed about 3 miles east of me. It was a country or western themed movie; though can’t recall the name offhand. Lol, was surprised as it was at a small farm with a couple horses/stables and a shitty looking old house. My guess is the location picked had to be from someone involved in making the flick being from the area. Nearest hotels were 10 miles away and nothin close by either for eats or grocer items other than a small gas station a mile away. Hmm, I’ll have to see if I can look up this movie since mentioning it.
