I just scored a pair of 1968 date code 383 hp's. they were the original engines out of a wooden 20' cabin cruiser. The owner of the boat got both engines rebuilt and took the boat to the lake and slipped it in the water and the boat broke in half! The engines got wet but have never been fired. The guy just walked away and left it there,so the marina owner called me and said get this junk off my property.I am not up on marine engines other than one turns in reverse rotation so it would need a proper cam and intermediate shaft, and the other would need a diferent cam anyway because it would have the same specs as a broom handle. Haven't got them apart yet, should be interesting.I got all the out drives, water manifolds, carbs{afb's} and MP distributors.Any input would be appreciated.
