Hi,

Ongoing winter project to fix leaking heater, re-new almost all electrical stuff, firewall insulation etc for the Charger Superbee -71.
I will go non-standard with the el.stuff since got an unused Painless mopar system with the car (current wiring is a mess, tempered on, meltdowns and a hard time last summer even to get it little bit working so some driving possible). Also gauges all pretty bad so in will go a Dakota digital RTX rallye gauge set in the original bezel.
El fuel pump close to tank, relay in trunk. Relays for high, low beam.
Car had battery in trunk so it will remain so, 70mm2 (0/2 AWG) + and also -. Ground from battery pulled to chassi in trunk and also long line to starter bolt that go through the bellhouse/engine block/starter, engine to chassi ground. Likely overkill but while on it I did it.
Original bulkhead removed and I made a Deutsch DT setup 2 x 12 pin + few larger grommets for the higher current stuff. Deutsch connectors will be used mostly where possible, little bit higher current rated Molex for steering column connectors.
I will have inside a + and - distribution block (feed to them 6 awg), relays for the high/low beam, couple Dakota modules, the painless fuse block and MSD 6AL box.
- I'm looking for some ideas on how you guys have made the under dash, firewall stuff..placement of some non-standard stuff?
The MSD I was thinking to try to put to passenger side, up little bit at the firewall. Maybe fabricate a bracket "hanging down" from two insulation pin holes that will not be used otherwise (non standard firewall insulation).
Car is no number matching, will be used and enjoyed summertime when nice weather.

After this winter exercise I hope I can also help someone out if trying something similar.. some "Do" and "Don't" I expect I will find out during coming months
