What a tragically lost talent!

I saw him play at the Ionia free fair in Ionia Michigan in the summer of 1986. The opening act was the fabulous Thunderbirds and his brother Jimmy was the guitarist for them. The came out and played a doublekneck with one sitting behind the other.

Stevie played a marvelous cover of little wing.
Even for an outdoor show the sound was remarkable.

Oddly enough I live in Ionia NY.

I never saw him in person. He died 2 hours away from where I live - at a venue I had been to for other concerts in the past.
