If any of you know what I'm referring to, GOOD! Apparently, he's been screwing people for years, I was just one of his latest victims. He [was] working on a 69 Barracuda and a 69 Chevy truck, both I media blasted, and both he screwed me out of my pay on the closing costs. Got my initial down payments, but, never the remainder. The said owners of these vehicles I coordinated a 'strike' against this thief. After speaking with both of them, and, finding out they too have been raped; ie payments rendered and no services delivered over a period of 2 yrs, they decided enough was enough! So, I had them both here waiting for mr jackass to show up, we also had a Sheriff standing by with us in case things went sideways. Their intent was to take possession of their cars and all their parts. When Mr Idiot showed up, he was shocked, but, when they said "We're done with you, we want our stuff" he obediently opened up and they went shopping in his rat hole for their belongings. They got everything back. The part I just LOVED was the Barracuda moved next door to me, when he asked why, I said because he's hiring me to do it. As I said, I did the media blasting, but, since then (April 2011) this bozo has primed it, and removed one qtr panel, primed the undercarriage, and had the emblems re-chromed! Talk about having NO plan of attack! Both wheelhouses are toast, needs new ones, but, Bozo went ahead and tried to weld the swiss cheese holes up, and, never finished DOH!

Bozo told the owner of the Barracuda he disassembled it, I showed him pics that I did that work, he charged the customer 10 hrs to remove the glass, I told him I removed the glass and it took me 30 minutes for the front AND the rear window! Comparing the invoice he gave the owner, and the actual pics and my invoice are two separate narratives! Lucky for the owner I took pics! FOLKS, TAKE PICS! You never know when they'll come in handy! So, we all prepare a class-action lawsuit against this worthless low life scum sucking turd. We know we're not going to get payed, but, a judgement in our favor does good at tax time, and, we can submit an unearned income statement on his *** to the IRS and fix his wagon!

Lessons to be learned. If you're going to hire someone, do they have a website? No, RUN! Facebook website doesn't count. Yes, still frustrated as hell at this person! BUT, we're fixing his wagon!

Awesome! Even if you don't get any money, it's awesome you were able to get the stuff back from this *** clown. This is the reason why I am trying to do as much of my own work as possible and only farm something out if absolutely necessary.

Donny, I'm afraid having a website does not make a business reliable. Superior Chrome has a really nice wesite, yet Bobby screwed me on re-chroming my pot metal pieces.

Glad to hear you guys teamed up and are leaving a mark on this guy.

Donny, that is awesome and some great advice!

Well done Donny....well done. Great to see someone with morale's take the time and effort to make things right and expose that rat for what he is.

True on the website dako, but if there's no Internet presence I'm running.

I'm sorry, but that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. The simplest thing for any crook to do is make a fancy website. They can spend $50 and look like they have a thriving business doing a million bucks a year in sales. I've gotten to the point where I just go to shows or cruises and ask for references.

Im doing as much myself as possible to. If I screw it up I can redo it & maybe learn something along they way. Seems everone wants to just turn over a quick buck these days & move on to another. But many wont get any return business in the future.

I'm singing right now - another one bites the dust........nice work Donny way to fish out that douche bag and slam the door on his ***.

Usually flim flam websites that are made to deceive don't get updated too often, and, if you check into it a little deeper one can see they're hollow and vapid. Plus, spending 50 bucks on a website, where, in North Korea? We're not done with Mr Thief either, Better Business Bureau has been notified, and will take action(s). This can't be allowed to go on, this is why me and the Barracuda owner, and the Chevy truck owner are gathering intel, and getting our papers in order, readying to hammer this POS!

ask for references. very important. luckily here we are a small community and everybody knows everybody, or their brother does. in my business it don't take long for a scammer to be identified. good for you donny. :headbang:

You think this is still 1995 or something? :)

I initialy thought you were talking abut azbob on ebay, but clicked on thread and discovered not :p

I assume it's the POS that had the body shop down the street, that you had troubles with earlier after him not paying you & you gave him another chance... If I remember correctly.... Personally > I don't really necessarily agree with the lack of website thing either, allot of great businesses don't need or want them or spend allot of time updating them, if they even have them, too much time & effort/expenses or another employee costs, for some small businesses, to deal with, if they don't know or have personal time to put into it themselves, especially the ones ran by older proprietors, but Anyway it's great to see your taking appropriate action against this POS bad business person, a class action suit will be the best thing for all concerned... good luck & good riddens'

Agreed. When I received my cast iron intake in the mail (broken), a two brother fab shop that does little to no advertising has one brother that's done his share of welding cast iron (we have a LOT of old tractors in the area). The other brother bracket races Mopars and gave me a phone number(!) to a one man machine shop 1 1/2 hrs away that is also off the beaten path with little to no advertising. He did all my machine work and head assembly. Very happy with both experiences.

On the contrary, I have learned with a decent web designer, the worst business can be made to look good. I have also found great businesses that have not updated their websites, nor are good at answering emails but will answer the phone, and do fantastic work. They are simply too busy to mess with the web site!

I maintain the best businesses are found by word of mouth...especially when the one recommending them is not a personnal friend of the business, but a customer that can show you their results.

True, its all about balance. Balance a good website, and good work, and good prices. My objectives for a site remains to educate the potential customer, show them the process, persuade them why they need media blasting. A website is needed to have an electronic presence. The days of word of mouth are not done, but, not as important as before. If a business is savy enough to realize this, they will put some electronic presence up on the net to advertise themselves. As far as showing results, a website is the perfect vehicle for this.

The POS moved out, bailed on his lease, basically after no-pay rent for 3 months, he had to go, landlord kicked him out. So, getting the other two owners of cars this bozo was 'working on' there to take their cars back facilitated this move out. They're happy, but I still am out $3055.00 to this POS! So, I got a 93 Ram 250 that needs to be painted, most of the prep work is done to the vehicle, going to haul it to a few shops Monday or Tuesday to get estimates on painting pricing. Urgh!!!!

Donny, can you take him to small claims and get some of your money back? I'm sure with statements from the other owners and your pictures and invioce records, i would think that maybe you could recover your loss and maybe some extra.
