UPS vs USPS

he does not use USPS anymore because of issues (very slow deliveries, poor tracking, etc.).

USPS tracking is a pathetic joke. I've seen shipments not move for days upon days, and suddenly it shows in the state the delivery is in, and then on from there.
I've recently had a couple of USPS horror stories and I'll summarize:
Nearly THREE WEEKS for the package to arrive, and I saw it hit New Orleans (which usually means my local USPS destination is next-a day or two later) that is about 1 hour away, but it went to Houston TX, and then over another 4 days made it back. The glorious day of delivery USPS claimed, falsely, that no one was available at the location. I finally got it the next day.
USPS "guaranteed" 2 day Express was the LAST time I'll try USPS:
Shipped out late on a Friday, guaranteed (LOL) for Tuesday by 6pm. Pathetic "tracking" showed movement for a couple of USPS locations in the state (NC) it was shipped from, w/Monday by 6pm as the destination date. I finally got it THURSDAY, about half an hour after UPS made an overnight delivery from the same shipper.

He ships everything UPS.

It cost $30 to have USPS jack me around for a WEEK, with the 2 day guarantee, and for $50 UPS made the delivery in less than 24 hours.

Yes USPS is a joke,watched my package sit in NJ for 6 days. Next day at my house. Took over 12 days for Priority Mail.

Recently sent my son a package for his birthday from CO to MO guaranteed 3-5 days via USPS, took 13 days. Never again.
