I am putting a suregrip in my wife's wagon. It's the first time I ever saw the little aluminum tag that says "Use Sure Grip Fluid". Is there really any difference than standard gear oil or should I use something else?

XL-3 is the stuff to use with your gear oil of choice, Valvoline , Redline...all great gear oils.
Why not? You just did!Agree....I didn’t really want to say Motorcraft on here
That must be saying a lot of the quality of Ford products if that's true. I have always sworn to and used Motorcraft oil filters & products wherever I can!Yep, for some reason the ford stuff is endorsed by chevy guys, ford guys, and Mopar guys!
I was really just referring to the limited slip lube, but i dont have anything against the other motorcraft stuff. That must be saying a lot of the quality of Ford products if that's true. I have always sworn to and used Motorcraft oil filters & products wherever I can!
Ding Ding we have the winning post!I was able to buy the Mopar brand friction modifier from the chrysler dealer a few years ago. They may need to order it, but it only takes a week at most.
That's what she said but I ain't buying itthe more it stinks the better it is
I had a buddy that used to restore old Ford Model A's, he used that as rear gear lube on all his resto's. I guess there's something to be said for that?Saw that some people use STP additive, I tried it, and it worked. Cheap and readily available.
