I have a 72 Road Runner that I am restoring, and was wondering where the 2 vaccuum lines from the A/C Heater box runs to inside the engine compartment? Specifically where they hook up. If you have pics that would be awesome. Thanks For B Bodies.

i know at least one goes to the water valve that
is in line within the heater hoses.
maybe even the 2nd does also?
it was a while since i ripped it apart...

my best guess is
the short one goes to vacuum source on the intake
the long one to the h2o valve

you can see the h2o valve in this pic

For 72’, with A/C, the water control valve is cable operated; only a single vacuum line runs through the firewall, passenger side. It’s the vacuum supply for the system, connects to a small nipple on the intake manifold fitting, behind the carb.

Do you have an actual engine bay shot of how your vacuum hoses are run?

Thanks for the great pics! I got out there and looked at mine, but mine has 2 vacuum hoses coming out of the firewall plug? Any ideas there? I had to buy a used one due to mine being busted up? So I am not too sure what year it came out of. Any help would be appreciated.

Two lines makes it a 71’ if you are sure it’s a b-body box. One line out to the vacuum reservoir and one to the water control valve. 72’ and up the water control valve is cable operated. Use the 72' hoses if you still have them or modify what have using the 72' diagrams above.
