My brake pedal on my car is extremley hard and it doesnt stop very well at all!! The car has a pretty big camshaft in it, not sure what type. Is their anything i can do to get more vacuum. I cant drive the thing at all. Its got a power booster, discs on the front and drums on the rear. I hear vacuum canisters dont work that good after a few pumps. Thanks

You need an electric vacuum pump booster. Go to junk yard and get one for Volvo or diesel car. Used for 50.00 for new electric booster from summit or jegs for 300.00

What kind of vacuum numbers are you getting? I'd check your vacuum and make sure that the lack of it is for sure the cause of your hard pedal.

you need around 12-16 hg of vacuum in gear (5-600 rpm) to operate a booster. put a gauge on it , then report back. you may have a bad booster. you need to start at the source which is the engine itself. make sure you have no other vacuum leaks

I just took one off my car when I put in a milder cam. if interested in it send me a PM.
