So sad, I know they'll never see this, but condolences to those who were close to him.
I actually thought he was already gone as well....I knew he had been sick for a few years.R.I.P. Val..... I actually thought he already departed us.
Thinking about the signs of an actor's ability made me realise that if you either love or hate a character, they are great at their job.
Other actors who you don't even remember or rate...... just make up the numbers.
Val's characters were truly memorable, even though even was saddled with the title of Worst Batman ever.
I recall back in the day, reading about Kilmer's method acting in Tombstone. To make himself look more authentically pale and sweaty, he drank tobacco water to make himself sick. And on the deathbed scene where he was seen shivering, he was actually laying on a bed of ice.I wound up watching last night's Tombstone rerun on the Grit channel, and his Doc Holiday part is some of his best work...IMHO!!! Actually, his best supporting role as an actor was in the movie Heat, where the downtown LA firefight took place. It was declared to be one of the most accurate portrayals any actor has ever accomplished, as his gun handling expertise was spot on!!! And, of course, his roles in both the Top Gun movies were also excellent. Just sad that the Cancer began his slow decline, and he succumbed to pneumonia infection at such an early age. Now the Boss Man has his personal Huckleberry...RIP Val...cr8crshr/Bill![]()
That is dedication to the craft.I recall back in the day, reading about Kilmer's method acting in Tombstone.
