Valve cover gaskets?

Another vote for cork on a stamped steel cover. I use a thin line of weather strip adhesive on the clean and straight cover flange.
Wipe the head edge with some brake clean on rag. Put them on, tighten down with 1/4" rachet or nut driver.
Like posted above re check them a couple times after a day or so.

Yes I recall going a few years on the same set of cork valve cover gaskets. Off and on numerous times for valve lash check, finally replaced them because of age, not leaking.

Speaking of gaskets. I run a deeper 518 stamped steel pan on my 727. I read that some guys were using the Moroso 93110 on their stamped steel pans with success so I gave one a try. Excellent fit and seal. Molded Rubber/Steel Core. Also reusable when doing trans oil and filter changes. In the footnotes Moroso indicates for aluminum pans, not for stamped steel pans. Not sure what that’s about but it’ll be getting the test on my trans.
