Yes, I often go to Lordco, and another supply store in Nanaimo BC. Sometimes I get a part number from Rock Auto, and can find it on Amazon. The windshield wiper motor for instance. Other times the electric fixit shop. Just about everything is new on the camper van.
The vintage car club, or a fixit shop owner have accounts.
Sometimes things come from the US, which is fine, but I got the wrong shift kit. Returning it can be a problem.
10225 is the wrong shift kit. 10228 is correct.

To rotate or not to rotate?
Edelbrock gave me the correct part numbers for the valve springs, but did not offer any advice about rotation.
I am favouring non rotation and the longer 2 inch springs.
Any words of wisdom from you guys.
I took a week off, and now we have snow, so production has stalled. Summit shows springs and valves, and the shift kit.

it’s real simple. You need the 8 matching retainers that are not the thick rotator style. And they have to match the style spring you use. If Edelbrock says there springs will work with the factory retainers you should e ok. On a mild cam most recommended aftermarket springs should pilot on the stock lip of the factory retainer. When you say 2” springs I’m assuming you mean they are 2” free length. That means nothing. The spring needs to be installed at is specified height. Te factory number is 1.680”. You need to make sure the keepers on the exhaust valves get you close to that number. Then you shim as necessary. On race stuff there’s way more to it. What part cam ad spring do you have?

Hi Doug.
Cam is a 31-2177. Total duration 253. This is the Edelbrock Performer cam that they suggested. Made by Comp Cams.
I have the 41-1507 lifters and the cam gears and chain.
Edelbrock said use 5877 for non rotate, and 5977 for rotating.
With a note that said do not use dual springs which is what I somehow got. The 2 inch is the free standing spring. I did not know about the different lengths until I took them all out .
The decision is still to use the shorter springs for rotating, or the 2 inch free length, longer springs for non rotating. I will need four collars either way. Also thinking about four new exhaust valves. After the rotating question is answered.
