variety is the spice of life....

I was using this as a general term. But if anyone thinks its aimed at them in particular well you know the ol' saying ... if the shoe fits, wear it !!

As for the OP, it appears quite obvious that he's not in a subdivision.
I have a bad habit of derailing posts...in this case bringing in subdivisions and not exactly on point. I'm sure I'd get bitching about what I have laying around...if I was in a sub. Did I say lol?

Every place has It's do's and don't. If you had cars parked all over where I live, the governor would call in the national guard and **** would hit the fan. This is America and to each their own, where allowed.

ok ... did not intend to start a war .... what i got here will not fly in the city.... that being said .... kinda showing off my 62 ..... kinda proud of it ..... sadly folks up here think its the uglyest thing thay have ever seen. most have never seen one. .... but to me she is one sexy ride. best looking crew cab ever built.... jmo

No matter what you do or where you go there is a certain degree of etiquette. You wear shoes and a shirt in stores, you talk quietly in libraries, you wear pajamas and slippers in Walmart, etc, etc.. If you're going to live in a subdivision, rules or not, there are certain things common sense should tell you you don't do - its just the global accepted norm. If you're too much of an ignorant asshole to realize these things and/or follow the unspoken rules then you deserve whatever **** befalls you.
yes .. if i lived in town i would have respect for the guy next door and try not to be a dick .... i would say to you ... if you don't like the rules where you are at .... then move. if ya like it .. then stay. .. but don't be judging us out here in the sticks for doing what we do here ..... we live here so we don't have to deal with folks like you that don't like cars as much as we do. ..... end of rant

I agree! Doze that ugly house and put up a nice garage!
HA ... all it takes is money ..... lol. but the house has been here since 1856 so it kinda has to stay

Wow - that's the same year a few of the mopar forum members were born..

There are a few Canadian trolls on here that like to try and ruffle some feathers from time to time. This is what i say to them. They know who they are.

I don't think Canadians have a thing to do with this, I was raised in Canada before moving here and have good friends from there. I think this started because it looks like you pull up to your front door, turn off the key and get out. For some that looks like a place where the hoot owls **** the chickens and the roosters don't care. We all have the right to voice our opinion and live the way we want, but to some it's just a little different.

Some just like to kick Canadians it seems Hey-O, he took no offence to the Americans that said basically the same thing in different words.

That said, I have the same attitude as the OP. My yard, I'll do what I want with it... although I park my mess behind the house! lol

That was my point. I never knew you had cars laying around and I guess that's because when you pull up to your place all you see is a beautiful well kept place. I like my stuff too, just not in the front yard.

ya ... thats kinda what happens here ... park it shut it off and we done for the day. this lot is 6.5 but mostly on the side of the mountin. i am brining in fill to make the parking thing better. but as i have no way of making sure stuff don't get swiped i park the stuff i can't replace here at the house ... not on the 25 acers i have on top of the ridge. the S/C 360 and the 62 need to be where i can sleep and not worry about it ..... and lets not be crapping on each other. we all live the way we want. and i see no reson to be a *** to each other. even if thay do got a ford in the driveway ....

Hopewell, PA only has 230 folks according to the 2010 census. So, I reckon most folks around those parts share Hacksaw's opinions on just about everything.

I live in a county with no zoning laws. At all....
Means folks can pretty much do as they wish with their property.
Also means county provided services are next to non-existent, but I digress....

As you might imagine, most of the subdivisions have their own HOA rules, but out in
the "country" like where we are, it's up to you.
Some don't mind surrounding themselves in accumulations of whatever.
Some of us do...

We don't have anything fancy up here on the ridge, but what we do have is "presentable" -
and anything less than that is kept behind the scenes.
Not only is that the way I want it, but that also fits my ongoing theme of "not leaving a mess"
after I'm gone for the wife to deal with.
I won't do that to her - and have made many strides in the opposite direction, in fact.

Oh, and P.S.:
If one doesn't want scrutiny and comments made about their stuff, then perhaps they shouldn't
post pictures of it on an internationally-viewable website.
Just sayin'....

These sites are all about peeps opinions about whatever. If ya want to hear LOTS of opinion, try FABO! lol
The country. The real country. Ride down the road and you see a $800,000 home and 1/2 mi later, a falling down shack.
Me, I have 4 old mopars and 2 pickups, 3 car and stock trailers but they are arranged on the property. As to how it suits us. If someone doesn't like it, so what. That's me. But then again I am not a neat freak either.

know what .... to hell with this ..... .. who ever is in charge .. just deleat the damn post ..... i guess folks that don't have a 62 need to put those of us that do down to fill the void in there hart for not having one..... just deleat it ... its just not worth it.
