I currently have a freshly built A833 OD for my project, read a bunch of posts on here and learned a ton about the ratios, etc. I am more of a visual learner, and was wondering if anyone could share a link to a YouTube video (or several!) of a car with that transmission driving along so I can get a sense of the gears. I know the rear axle ratio will make a difference obviously, but I am having trouble in general picturing that short 1st gear in action.

Took this a few years ago - running 3.55:1 gears in the rear......

Sorry I don't have a video, but the real difference that you will feel is not the shorter 1st gear ratio, but the distance between 2nd and 3rd. You will feel the need to rev 2nd higher than you normally would in a regular 833 before shifting into 3rd, and often times when you are driving back streets at slower speeds neither 2nd or 3rd feels like the right gear to be in. Not meaning to disparage the 833OD... they are very cost effective way to get OD in your old Mope.

Agree on this- you will spend a lot of time shifting between 2nd and 3rd, which can get to be a bit tiresome.

You're an absolute hero, thank you! I think I will be perfectly happy with these ratios. I have a 3.55 Sure Grip going in the rear of mine as well, so mine should be just about exactly like that.
