20110624_71.jpg20110624_60.jpgHey Guys, Great Thread....Here is a pix from ME racing my 1965 Plymouth B Body Funny Car in 1967. 426 Max Wedge Motor, Crane Roller, Vertex Magneto, 13.5-1 Compression Ratio (Max Wedge Stage III) pistons, Max Wedge Heads (of course), Hilborn Fuel Injection running 70% Nitromethane and 30% Methanol.Torqueflite with Manual Valve Body, (NO TRANS-BRAKE AS THEY DID NOT EXIST BACK THEM) and only a 2200 RPM stall, which was the best for back then.
Engine was set back 26", drive shaft was about 10" long.
Rear wheels moved 15" forward, Front wheels moved 10" forward (tube axle) with spindle mount Americans, 2x3 box tube chassis, Aluminum Floors and side panels, Plexiglass Windshield, weighted about 2600 lbs.

Ran 9.90 way back then, that is slow now but it was quite fast back then.

I love stuff from that/your era...
my era really began in 1975-77ish 10 years later,
but I went to the rack allot with my step father Bob, around the west coast in your era...
I wish I would have taken tons of photos...
