Vintage 50's - 60's Sinclair Gas Station

I like old gas stations. We have a few around.

Here's what I think of when I hear Sinclair.

I worked at a full/self service Mobil station with a 2 bay garage in HS. The pumps were too old to go over .99 cents, so they were set at half and you had to double everything to get the final sale price. I stayed on as a mechanic for awhile after graduation. It was a great work experience.

I remember the Pump bunnies there. Got gas there several times.

Who remember jumping on the rubber hose gas station bell for service..

We use to unplug the dam thing on Sunday mornings when we were all hung over.

There is a Sinclair in Boulder City Nevada. In the heart of town a old Gulf station was revamped into a cool bar when the garage doors are opened.Deco gas pumps and a water fall. They park a food truck in the lot and have covered tables,and music in the evenings.In the summer they bring a shaved ice truck in too.
