Anybody familiar with Cal-Equip 7000 shifter? History, pictures, for sale? For my three speed Dodge I have in the works.

Thank you,

Jeff

Cal-Equip was a cheaper line of automotive accessories back in rhe day. They were into everything chrome and not so much into shifters. I would look for a Hurst or Indy instead. Not many companies made 3 speed shifters and those that did, weren't very good quality.

Brewer Performance may be your best bet. If they don't stock anything, they may know what works best. @Dan Brewer

March, 1962 issue of Car Life magazine has an interesting Drive Test of a 1962 Dart 330 2-door hardtop. It is equipped with a rare 413, 385 h.p., 2X4 barrel inline setup, like same year Chrysler 300H. 3-speed stick with floor mounted Cal Equip shifter and 4.10 gears. Article shows close-up of the shifter. I am not technically advanced enough to grab the picture and post it. Sorry.

I am glad you were able to find that article and enjoy it. I put that same intake system on the 426 Street Wedge in my 1964 Polara 500 convertible. Not as crisp as the 750 cfm. Edelbrock on the 440 in my 1967 R/T, but was great eye candy. I thought you might like a picture of my pal, Randy's, 1962 Max Wedge tribute. 1962 Maxie top end on a 440 Motorhome block, A-833 4-speed and 4.10's.

Those are some beauties! Love them both! Dual quad setup is super slick!
