Can someone give me a gap measurement from the vinyl top moulding to the belt moulding behind the quarter window off of an original car. I had a vinyl top put on my build and the gap the guy left seems large to me. I don't think it really can be moved because then it leaves a big gap on the other end. I'm just wondering if this is normal. The gap I have is about 1/4" at the top of the moulding. After market mouldings not original.

How tight that gap is is based on where the holes were drilled for the chrome "check mark" moldings. Here's two of my Chargers (both are the same color).

Notice where the chrome molding butts up against the rear window molding on one car and overhangs the molding on the other.

Loose gap ....

I have two more Chargers and the gaps on the belt moldings are more on the wide side than tight. It is what it is and there's nothing you can do about it on a car that's already painted.

Yeah, I'm definately going to live with what I have instead of trying to mess with it. I'd probably end up screwing something else up. Lol
Thanks for the help and the pictures.

Mine is tighter than that on both of my cars, but not much. With original mouldings.
