Does anyone have any pics of their dash fully assembled with the faceplates vinyl wrapped? (any finish)

Also would the vinyl wrap damage the underlying woodgrain of an original faceplate should I choose to remove it sometime down the road?

Trying to decide if I should track down a set of beater woodgrain plates to wrap (since I already have a couple pieces in addition to my nice original set) or just wrap what I got. I just don't want to damage a nice set :shruggy:

Thanks for the pm kiwi! And just to clear my question up, I'm wanting to use this other 3m vinyl wrap:

I wanted to get a different look but still avoid damaging the original woodgrain vinyl underneath (in case I want to go back to it later) I'm just worried if I ever went to pull the 3m stuff off that it might pull the original woodgrain up with it but I guess worst case scenario if that happened I could always get the kit kiwi linked to fix it ?

I would get a spare set of plates.
Most of the 3M products I've used that are adhesive, tend to be pretty strong, I would agree with you that it's a good possibility it will pull up the wood grain on removal of the wrap.
Plus when I apply them I tend to use a heat gun which tends to give me a better "fit" but also softens everything under it. Then factor in that the longer it sits the better the adhesive bonds to the surface, (usually) I think it's likely that its going to pull up anything under it.
