Hey guys, a few weeks ago I noticed my voltage regulator on my 70 coronet turning itself into soup, still runs fine but I got a replacement NOS one that I'm going to put on soon. Obviously I dont want this to happen again, so what causes something like this? What can I do to prevent it? It was fine before I took it on the annual pilgrimage to Carlisle in July.

I've never seen one ooze out it's innards; now I have.

I suspect a cheap quality insulating material.

why does it not show the square back alternator?

Was there 2 different ones for 70?
