I'm upgrading to a MSD ignition with my 60 amp alternator and nos regulator. Should the regulator be upgraded to handle the power? If so to what?

60A ALT output doesn't affect the regulator. What the regulator does is control the amount of voltage to the field coil (the rotor) to either strengthen or weaken the magnetic field thus affecting output current. High field voltage means high ALT output.

it shouldnt matter at all.....my 67 satellite has a 70 amp alternator,,a stock regulator,, and an msd system and i have had no problems at all.

Do any of the Chrysler alternators have internal regulators? Sorry, this is my first Mopar product.

Have you "upgraded" the regulator from the original mechanical unit ? If not, you might consider that. I switched to solid state in my 68 Sat w/ MSD with a 90 amp alt (upgraded the wire to the system and bypassed the amp gauge.) I don't believe that Mopar used internal regs until very late.
