Was Leather an Optional Interior for 1971 GTX?

I just read a post on Facebook that stated "Leather or fabric upholstery options". My parents purchased a special order 71 Road Runner when I was sixteen years old. I don't remember a leather interior being on the option sheet. Did I miss that available fabric choice back then?

What I find interesting is that the pocket guide lists the canopy vinyl top as NA on the GTX. I had an original 71 GTX with the canopy vinyl top.

Options come and go throughout the year. Some info posted online is dated. It's simply not possible to have ALL versions of ALL documents posted on line.

It appears the V4* top was added to the GTX open list sometime in the spring. I have examples of RS with V4* from February on.
