Putting my 440 back together over the weekend. The engine has only an alternator. When I put the water pump pulley on it doesn't line up with either the crank or alternator.

What should be the height of the stock water pump pulley? Both the crank and alternator have two grooves but the water pump only has one?

Thanks!

this is the top pulley you need

is yours too short or too long?what year setup is it?can you post a pic?they make spacers(or shims) for the wp pulley.

Took the pulley off so I could measure it. 5- 7/8 Diameter 2-1/4 height One groove. It actually alligns the belt in between the two groves on the crank and alternator. Meaning I can either find a 2" or 2-1/2 depending on where the single belt goes with the other pulleys. Is there anything out there?

Tried using some Spectre spacers last night but it got too dark to see anything.

On the pulley I have it has a code "37511" then a larger "26" stamped into it. Does this have any meaning?

I do believe that part number is for a small block setup.

440 source has what you need. I went throught the same crap with the PS pulley. Bought a repro set and all is fine.
