Water purification

For all you hunters out there. What's the best way to purify water in the field?

Iodine tablets is what we used in the Army.

Depends on the source, 2 good ones Iodine tabs like Randy said &/or boiling it...

they sell deals/contraptions, they claim will purify it

Bear Grylls says if you have some stagnant water - put it in a clear plastic bottle and expose it to good sunshine for at least 6 hours.....and it will be safe to drink.

Although...this is coming from a guy who drinks his own urine.

I use one of these when i go hiking. Sure as hell beats stopping on the trail to boil water.
