Yup... Bill dragged the stripped shell out of a ravine in the foothills... Was slowly working on it gathering parts & getting things together.. ( tough enough when raising kids never mind that Luke is autistic which certainly has it's challenges) but when Luke was diagnosed with cancer priorities changed & the car was pushed to a far back burner... Good chance the car would wind up sold as the medical bills & other commitments were taking priority....

Bill's wife/family pulled some strings & somehow were able to get the story in front of the right people....

The original plan by his wife & family was to not let Bill in on the story... But A few of us "friends" suggested that not telling Bill was a good way to get someone hurt... Bill had enough stress in his life at the time & had he discovered his 1of1 RR was missing he might blow a gasket

999 coded 69 Roadrunners are rare enough, Chrysler dropped the color late in 68 when Richard Petty signed with Ford to drive a Talladega... According to Chrysler there was only one 69 RR vert....
