-----------Im glad your on the mend but i will be very honest as i dont really know you and i am a cautious person. I will assume your a good worker and a honest person. What happened to you being terminated makes my blood boil. I will never repeat never give up supporting the rights of the working person. Your obviously living in a right to work state and I'm not sure if you have any rights. For you to dismiss this as its "there loss" is up to you. Were you get another job, your skill and how much it is in demand i dont know. Id like to know what a competent labor attorney would say but even initial consultations are expensive. But i will tell you and anyone who cares to listen, this is the new order in this country. Were some so stupidly dismiss workers rights and then say the government covers you. If you worked with me over the last 44 years and were a good employee you would have had sick benefits which include sick time and even if your sick time ran out you still would have a job to come back to.
Only once in my entire working career did i get sick which resulted in me being out of work for about two months. I had two surgeries over that course and could have returned to work but there is no light duty policy. I exhausted all me sick time and then was allowed to use vacation time. I used all of that except one day and then returned to work. At least i had a job to return to and it had nothing to do with my performance or my employer. It was my right through collective bargaining.
The people who oppose what i write here i can tell you are the same people who never had a days worry about being sick, paying bills putting food on the table for there families, if they themselves got sick. Best of luck and please dont tell me you hurt yourself on the job as that's a whole other issue. Be well.
