Well, I can tell you where not to order your dash pad from

I have heard lots of stories where the after market dash pads do not fit. That's too bad.

That sucks. It's a shame no one can get these right after all these years

In this post in my 70 Road Runner restoration, I comppared the Classic Industries, Year One and original dash pads. Check it out if it is of any help...
Hawk-Rod: The Restoration
I think it was your old post years ago is why I went with the classic one and man it’s the still to this day probably the best after market pad I’ve seen. Maybe it’s the same pad as BEA??? I did buy BEA upper door pads and their better than the others also.

I don't have any experience with BEA, so I'm afraid I can't offer any thoughts if the Classic Industries pad is the same. I would assume a Just Dashes pad using an original core would be the absolute best, but they are very expensive and weren't in the budget.

My Classic Industries pad is still holding up well after 7 years.

I agree. Bob Baker is a "good guy". About 5 years ago I was looking for a 67 coronet dash pad. Nobody made these at that time. ABC was starting to re-pop them using original cores. I gave him my original torn up one and specifically asked for the same one back cause I didn't want any fitting problems. It took extra time but I was willing to wait. Couldn't have been happier with the results including the price.

Both 53 year old cores that I have are the same length. I’m going to compare the new one to these tomorrow morning.

Photos taken today. Follow up tomorrow, everyone closed today.
Drivers side looks good but the passenger side looks like sheeeet.
Short of the A pillar trim and the shape at the end of the pad is not the same as the A pillar trim.

I ordered my 71 dash pad thru a place located in Windsor, Ontario called Moparts Canada.
Ordered it on June 1st of last year....still waiting for it..

(Update) Called Year One today. Very nice conversation about the issue at hand. Sending out return label today. Great folks to deal with when things go sideways. Now off to find a new pad.

Bring yours over and let’s check it on my car. It pissed me off that the core wasn’t metal. I specifically asked twice.
Ok guys, I tried @davek dash pad that he purchased from ABC Moparts for his 70 Charger on my 70 road runner and it fit perfect.
If I go with the black pad and dye it blue route, this may be an option.
Here are some pictures of the fit.
