Since when a Iam MOPAR Fan. Well I ahve been a MOPAR since the 50+ My father bought a 1950 De SOTO that was made by Chrysler and was our first family car.
I got into MOPAR since the 56's due to my father first family car a 1950 De Soto made by Chrysler 3 shifts on steering wheel good size that accomaodated my father , mother, me, and my brother. When I grew up peoplr over here use to say that anything make by CHRYSLER, DODGE, PLYMOUTH for that period they were no good, nut they were the ones use for hauling sugar cane from the fields and so on. The time for me to volunteer for the ARMY in 1968 October came on after high school at 17 years and turn 18 in VIETNAM well my first assign vehicle was an M151 1964 and a 3/4 ton also on the linage of MOPAR. I got out of active duty in 1971 and on 1972 a friend and fellow Vietnam vet that we live close in the same area and I met him in Vietnam came to PR on leave and brought his 1969 Yellow whit vinyl top 4 speeds positraction double contac points and was a 440engine. He was going back to Panam where he was station and told me that he was going to sell it and I raise my hand and only pay $2500.00 and then paint it od green put american racing rims and good year tires and double door view mirrors and use for about 3 years and stupidity came to me and change it for a 1975 Cutlass Supreme. the worst mistake of my life that I always feel guilty of practically giving it away but the damage was done. So after 2 brand new Oldsmobile my father bought a Chysler LeBaron that I ended up own it, later he got a 1967 6cyl silver color Dodge. To make story short after I was working at The PR State Police I kept looking around to find the car and about 4 years ago I was told where it was but the owner was not selling for nothing in the world. so when I retired from ARMY, POSTAL SERVICE and getting 2 other pensions I decided to look for a 1969 Plymouth and found a bunch but too expensive for my budget till found one that was on my budget and I am back is in perfect conditions automatic 383 cu engine and A/C out fabric is cooper color black vinyl top rims of MOPAR is a Satellite Sport and I am converting it to GTX. Acoording to some documents the Satellite inspired to do the RR & GTX.I love it trying to keep the vintage of the car .
