Sooo.... Went to throw on my steering wheel today and noticed my steering column was moving back and forth, this is what resulted in me drinking a 12 pack and swimming laps in my pool for an hour and a half to clear my head:

Anyone know the solution to this? I was going to use this opportunity to switch to manual steering and use the firm feel adapter. I'm glad I wasn't driving the car down the track when this happened... If anyone can help or has a nice manual box I can buy, I would appreciate it so much.

P.S. The last picture is what fell out when the column pulled out of the box.

Looks like ya need a rebuild kit, ebay has them and they are the same for power/manual.

I think that the Dodge dealers can order them as well.

But the shaft shouldnt just pull out. Theres a retainer clip missing or broken.

Looks like the bearing retainer is missing or got loose just under the wheel.

Yeap, there's a plate with three screws in it if I remember right that holds the bearing under the steering wheel in. As far as the coupler goes, they are a pretty solid setup but not much holds them in "just the stamped steel retainer that holds the seal in place" if you still have all the pieces it can easily be put back together. Good luck, should be an easy fix.
