attached are some single piston calipers
They were in the trunk when I got the car that already had 4 position Bendix on the front. Can I use one of these "style" without changing the spindles??

That looks like the later 70's style caliper and mount that I'm running on my Charger. My car was already converted but I'm pretty sure you'll need the spindle as well.
 
I agree I think I'm going to try to find 2 Bendix type calipers when I walk thru Carlilse next month.

No problem but I'd research it a bit, I seam to remember reading that the Bendix brakes left a lot to desire.
 
Ok, so in the goal of "stopping better" it might be more cost effective to get the spindles and use the later single positions.
