What do you guys use for trim clips for moldings (69 gtx)

The side trim kit that came with the 1969 GTX side stainless moldings is a joke. Doesn't anywhere near represent the clips on the original moldings. Way too many cheap plastic clips that you are suppose to "snap" the molding over.

It doesnt snap well. I am not going to use it. I took as many old trim metal scre down type clips with the barrel nuts, off the old trim. Too many missing however.

Checking ebay for generic clips and there are some out there..

i want to know where you guys get a good quality clip w/o a lot of trimming needed...I am going to bolt the GTX side moldings down with the screw type clips and barrel nuts, where ever possible on my 69 GTX.

What size to be used on the nuts..

I bought the same crappy clips. I only needed a few so used the screw/bolt combos. The only viable option is to try to find original clips.
