I got a call from a friend about a 67 GTX for sale. I immediately called the number he gave me. The guy said there was someone coming to look, but we talked for about 15 minutes about the car. Later yesterday afternoon I get a text from the seller saying the guy couldn't come and if I wanted to come that he would rather sell it to me if I wanted it. I made an appointment for this morning. After looking at the car this morning, we made a deal and he delivered it a little while ago. It needs everything, but it's a solid project. The metal work that I can see is passenger side lower rear quarter and a passenger side small rear floor pan patch. XX1 paint code with red interior.

440, 4-speed, Dana. 440 non matching, but everything else is original.

Nice score, looks complete.

That'll buff out :poke:

in all fairness it's a cool car GTX with a 4 speed & Dana

Good job not humming and hawing about it.
" make it happen".

To good of deal to jaw about it, although I did try to get it for less. He did deliver it for nothing additional.

Good projects are still out there, usually you gotta look a little harder but sometimes they come looking for you..... Nice score!

Great pick Jerry!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Bodywork will be a good start as you suggested and before that a thorough cleaning inside and out. Be a time-consuming project, but I feel worth bringing it back. Keep us posted on your progress...cr8crahr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

You do have good friends, or at least one very good one. XX1 is a beautiful colour.

3 of the 4 tires were useless, it's surprising what tires and rims do.

Be sure to save all that barn find dust. It's probably worth at least a grand on fleabay.

I thought it was a twin to mine except for the 4-speed. But with an “X” paint code I guess it’s beige. Nice score with a 4 speed and solid body.
