What headers should I buy?

You ask the same question of 100 people sand you will get 100 different answers. Here are some threads that you can read through and form your own decision as I did. If you read ALL of them you have to also read between the lines and keep in mind how YOUR car is equipped. Mine is a 440 (not a RB 383) with power steering and it already has 2.5" exhaust.

I bought the 2" tti headers bare metal which was suggested by the machine shop if I was to use them on the dyno machine.
I wanted the 1 7/8" but that size was not available for a 1965 b body just 1 3/4" and 2" so I bought the 2" headers.
The machine shop had a set of 1 3/4" headers for a 440 so we tried them out first and pulled out at ( 1 3/4" headers 537.7 ft-lbs tq and 477.6 hp )
( 2" headers 534.6 ft-lbs tq and 489.9 hp. The 1" open carb spacer didn't seem to make any difference to hp or tq
So my two cents on this is 1 7/8" headers tti for less hastle of installation and the hp range your in 1 7/8" is recommended.

got hooker super comp on my 67 gtx two inch tubes -no problem--first set would not seal or fit--fix -one inch bolts and new motor mounts--any body want to buy a set of 5209 hooker-=not super comp but two inch tubes--like others have said--you get what you pay for--also have a mini starter--works just fine

NO coating lasts forever, I don't give a damn who does it or how good it is or what it is. They last a while if it's the good stuff and done correctly, but none of them last forever.
