Going to get 15" Black Steel Wheels for Polara 500.

What if I kept them black with dog dish hubs.....How do you all think that would look on this color car?

I can always paint them.

Thanks.

They would look fine. Myself, I like the body color for the nostalgic look. Try the black and if you don't like it, you can always have them repainted. Cheaper too!

Hi
Well, for me your car looks great with those color matching wheels.
By going to a all black I personally think it makes your car look out of place,.
BUT: It may look good.

Try this: Eliminate the White Lettering, reverse the tires. No white lettering.

Uh, forgot to mention...Gorgeous car!

Great looking car. Yeah, try the black first and I agree with super-bee ski too. Try flipping the white letters in too.

It would look like this. Sorta. These are 14"s.

I kept mine black, but went back and forth before having the tires mounted. I was also going to go with dog dish caps as well but as it turned out the rims won't hold on to the caps very well (Wheel Vintiques) so I left them off for now. Guy at work called me Dick Landy, so I think I will rock the strip car look...for now.

For yours, if you are going to run the center caps, I would paint them body color. I think it looks nicer with the chrome.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

GREAT LOOK ON THAT 62 Threewood"!!

I still like the body color wheels the best. The black wheel blends into the tire to much for me. Just my .02 cents....

I decided to go with Cragar SS Wheels all the way around. I am going to keep the original steels as a back up.
Saw some pics of other 62's with Cragars and really like the look.

I can only get rear backspacing on Cragars at 4.25"on 15x8. I'm a bit worried about getting the tire size I wanted at 275/60/15 to fit. I might have to go 265/60/15. I'm not a big gambler.

To permanently remove the raised white letters or outlines on tires just ask your wife (or girl friend) if you can borrow her Kiwi leather shoe dye. Works like a charm. Did these tires for my Deuce 6 years ago and the letters are still as black as the rest of the tire.

BEAUTY , PREFERENCE WOULD BE BLACK FOR ME. ALSO DO YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW OF SOME TRIM LIKE THE BELT LINE TRIM ON YOUR CAR . 2 STAINLESS STRIPS RUN FRONT TO REAR ALONG TOP OF FENDER & DOOR TO QUARTERS IM LOOKING FOR SOME THANX JEFF

So many choices!!!,looks great with same color rims and dog dish caps or black rims, but on your beauty, think about some custom wheels (craigs,U S wheels, American wheel, etc)and black only tires,,,it would kick it out of the park,Being Different can be Fun,,it's only wheels.Had the red wheels, then black, w/caps,then tried custom wheels on this 63,get's you thinking!!!
