What is a 67 TNT 440 worth?

A Guy just picked up my 69' GTX 440 Magnum motor, trashed to hell, but complete. 040 bore required. $1,000.00, no exhaust. I could have sold three of them to other buyers. he had a 69' GTX and needed a correct engine.
Done.

Kern dog...
Engine and rear end still available?

I have the engine out and on a stand. I pulled the front accessories but it still has the intake and exhaust manifolds. I sold the 3.23 3rd member to a guy in Connecticut. I put a 3.55 one legger in the axle housing.
Yes, they are both still available and I'm not looking to get rich. I just want to make a few bucks.

it's all about that HP stamp. All TNT's were stamped, as well as all GTX's and R/T's. If you have a GTX without an original engine, you go looking for these engines. 440's without the stamp are much cheaper, and easier to find. Less than 3% of 440 Chryslers were HP cars.

Once you find the engine, the value of that GTX goes way up, as there were no VIN#'s that year, date code only.

i would not pay 1 cent more for "HP" on a 440 block, heres why:

this is my cast in 1972, but not installed until 75 440 block, the engine pad looks pretty legit right?...wrong, i stamped that shitz myself when i was 20, way back in the day, found some 60s era Snap On letter dies, looked at some real OE blocks and blam, a forgery was born.

Not everyone is a lying, cheating asshole.

Not everyone is a lying, cheating asshole.

sadly, with Mopar stuff, its rampant. esp. with Hemi stuff.

unless someone has the original VIN stamped on it to match my car, it wouldnt matter, and i wouldnt pay extra.

i was made aware a couple of years ago of an individual that has the capability to fake the Vins on the pan rails....This is the real tragedy.

there are more Hemi cars out there than Mother Mopar ever made!

By the by, ive never sold this engine or any part that was something other that what it really was. this my personal block, that ill prolly be buried with.

i was not trying to boast Kern, so theres no reason to pop off like a Douche-nozzle.

if you know what your looking at, a Forgery is easy to spot. I have owned 30 of them, and a false stamp is easy to spot. The shape of the letters and numbers, and how far apart they are. You just have to be good at seeing it.
