I have a 1969 Roadrunner convertible with 245/45r18 Nexen Tires in the front on coys wheels and p245/40zr20 Nexen tires in the rear on coys wheels. The max tire pressure is 50 psi which I know is obviously way too high. I've been running at 32 and it seems to ride and handle fine but I don't want to wait for tire wear to find out if I am correct.

The rate of psi on your tire is the max it can be inflated safely. When sold the tire manufacture has no idea what the tire will carry as far as loading.
So they list the max lbs and psi.
Inflate to your cars owners manual or door jamb info.

Yes I know what the max rate means which is why I dont have them at 50psi but the door jamb lists the pressure for the stock sized bias tires which is too low for modern low profile radial tires.

Don't use 50+ year old inflation pressures. You want to drive a modern tire on a 4000 pound convertible at 24 psi? 69 coronet sticker below

I like 35-40 in front and 35 in back.
