What is this and where does it go?

I know this is kinda dumb on my part. But I have no idea what this is or where it would go. I ran the number on moparts and it says heater control lamp, but that makes no sense. Any help much appreciated.

That goes on top of the heater/ac control unit....It provides illumination at night.....

FYI please include year, make and model.....It helps to figure things out quicker.....
