Changing to new signal switch on 69 b body….as im installing, this piece hits the floor? I have no idea where it came from or where it goes?
Is it part of the switch?
Very thin metal, 1 1/4 long x 3/16 wide?
It may not even be from the switch!

Could have come from either a #2 left hand gazinta (or # 2 right hand) assembly. Sometimes it's called a #2 right hand (or #2 left hand)J.C clip. It's called this because when it drops out and you cannot find it, I generally say: "Jesus Christ.....where did the fu****ing clip go""........just a thought.....

Lol…. According to manufacturer, its not supposed to be in this model switch…

BUT....in spite of all odds....there it is. Tape it to the glove compartment door and run the car as is....if the car will not run, sell the car...but remember to torque the tire valve stem caps to spec....an important consideration.....

The Gazinta was E-Body only.

Just my opinion of coarse.
Not exclusively......I had a ' 68 Baracuda with the #2 LH Gazinta clip, holding the whizzer bracket to the carb.....always falling off and getting lost....use to buy them by the 1/2 dozen....cheap at $ 2.98 ea. not now....if/when you can find them...very pricey....

Column shift car?? If so it could be from the ignition key switch.

Wow!!! Tough crowd!!! (And funny, too!) :drinks:
The ring on the crush can initial unlocks a left or right turn position. The piece koosh asked about is a return spring to center the cam from a left or right turn.
Here are some pictures...

Wow!!!! and the switch manufacturer said it was not part of the switch i purchased!!!! Now that everything is back together, wonder if i need it. My aftermarket wheel adapter has no provision for turn canceling

Slotts, where’d you go? Tried sending private message with no luck
