What is this?

I can't find a reference in the electrical diagrams to this relay on my 67 Satellite, mounted off inner fender.
It looks alot like the stater relay that's at the firewall but has a wire to positive battery side and an inline fuse to the headlight harness?

That's what I figured but don't know what it's doing

That is the old school way of adding a relay to the headlamps.Takes the load off the headlamp switch.
Now a days they use the little black plug in relays for just about everything.

Ahhhhh...well, I can remove it now that I have @Crackedback headlight relay.

I would chase the wires fast to make sure first.
