What is yout favorite brand of Street tires ?

I have found that all goodyears appear to be JUNK. I have had 3 sets and have never had a good experience. They never stay in balance, wear like crazy, are overpriced, poor traction....you name it. I bought a brand new set for my 93 dakota back in 02 and took them off and sold them after 1000 miles because they would not stay in balance...would shake the whole truck. Same problem on a recent car (the altima...lemon)

I have had great luck with BF Goodrich, Nitto, Bridgestone, and Mastercraft

Don't really have a favorite for street tires, seems I end up picking something different every time. I did pick Goodyear though, because I just put a set of wrangler dura-tracs on my wife's Tahoe about 6 months back and they have done nothing but impress me. Work decent on the road, not really any road noise, good off-roading, and they are fantastic in the snow (found this out yesterday while the wife was sleeping, went and had some fun in the early morning before the plows came out lol).

I see no one put yokohama on the list.Why is that?I'm currently running yokohama avid s/t on my street car and I love them.Unfortunatly they are discontinued now and I don't know what I will run when they wear out. Staggered fitments is getting harder to find in the same brand.BFG has been threatening to discontinue for years now,but they are still out here.Drives the price up I quess, and You know the old saying, you get what you pay for.

Probably because most people on here buy American made classics therefore they like American made products for their cars. Yokohama doesn't exactly sound like something that should be on a mopar.

Yokohama makes a good product and I would run them. Have had their motorcycle tires with good luck.

I am not strictly buy american unless the product is good. I'll buy a honda before i buy a chevy.

Its been a few years now but the last two times we went with Good year we found this to be true, junk and nothing but trouble, especially with blown belts. We were told it was because of air pressure not as it should be and i know different, not running the correct pressure can do it but, of course you cant convince them that you do. But i do remember a time when Good year was a great tire, lasted a long time and never had problems. Things arent made to much with any kind of pride and quality like it used to be, I think its all about money and making more and putting less in whats being mass produced.

OK I couldn't resist telling this story a guy I used to work with told me. He was a road course racer back in the 90's. Mostly import garbage but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, he picked up Kumho as a sponsor and they provided tires for his racing operation. This was back when they were just starting to break into the American market. When they did, of course he had Kumho Stickers on his car, suit, etc... Well all the guys he used to race with were busting his balls calling them "Cum-Ho's". He used to tell them, "no...you ignorant hick...They are "koom-ho's.""

Anyway...One day at the track all the drivers were gathered for a pre-race meeting under a tent outside when a young Korean girl was walking with what appeared to be her old grandfather past the tent speaking in Korean when the old man spotted the Kumho on his race suit....stopped, pointed to him and said... "Cum-ho!"

Needless to say he NEVER lived that one down.

My vote went to Goodyear Strictly based on the old school look of the raised white letter polyglas gt. Love that look back in the day - still love it today. Glad they're still made.

I put Good Year Wrangler on my GMC Sierra after the factory ones wore out at 100,000 km (62K miles). I hate the Good Years. Noisy in the summer, no traction in the winter and its a 4x4. I have 50% tread on them still and I'm ripping them off before this winter. I think they came factory with Michelins. They were really good tires all around.
