As usual, your missing the point Roger because you don't seem to know how shows work in the US. When your the only 2 cars in a certain category, as well as a body style and they don't recognize either? Oh, I see. It's the topical Mopar crowd I see everywhere, rave all about how great the A,B,E bodies are, but let's all **** on the 300 and C body crowd, rape them of their motors and derby the hell outta the rest of them. That's a really great way to run a Mopar club. You need to take the blinders off too as well!
Who here in this thread ever talked smack about C bodies? Who even mentioned them? Regardless....
This is the For
B Bodies only site.
Not Imperials, Not Darts, Not B series vans, etc.
If you are looking for love and admiration for the Polaras, the Fury II and III, the Imperials, the LeBarons, peck your computer keyboard to FCBO. Lots of good people there.
I like almost all Mopars built from the early 60s to the late 70s. I'd love to find a clean, original late 60s Polara or Fury III 4 door. Those cars rode nice and had tons of room.
I parted out a '70 Polara because it was too rough to restore and because nobody wanted to buy it. It is just how the hobby is, few people want a 4400 lb 4 door classic. In 2014 I parted out a '68 Satellite station wagon for the same reason. I love wagons but I'm in the minority on that.
I even LOVE the A-100 and A-108 vans! I like the Corvair and Econoline vans of that era as well.
When I go to a car show to spectate, I don't linger around the Challengers or Barracudas very long but I DO like to admire Imperials, Vans, trucks and of course....Chargers, Darts and Dusters.
The Mopar Alley show is more likely to have the muscle cars instead of the Imperials and C bodies. Maybe you rubbed against some people that did not appreciate a car you brought? Maybe you don't know it but MOST of the cars in any given show are NOT members of the club that put on the show. Our show in Sacramento often has a nice turnout of the big cruiser cars and not as many wild customs, $ 150,000 restorations, etc. Sometimes We have a separate section for club member cars away from the others.
