ok i have a big problem...

i knew this was going to happen... but my 74RR has SS springs out back, (PO installed) so naturally its waayyy taller than stock, and stock length shocks wont fit... there way to short.
does anyone know what shocks to get, and or a car to look them up by?

stock eye to eye extended is about 22 1/2"
i need something at least 26''.
will the Mopar Performance drag shocks work? PN# P4529515
thanks in advance

Stumpted.... Well im pritty sure the MP drag shocks will work.
If not im going to make my own shock x member out of DOM. And double sheer shock taps. just make it lower than the stock one. So stock length shocks will fit

I used the old racers trick of installing shocks for an Imperial on my '65 with SS springs.

I use these on my 69 RR with SS springs.

Must be a big differance between your 74 car and my 67. Stock shocks still have plenty of travel on my setup.... I have yet to upgrade to a drag shock.

Yes, a huge difference apparently, at ride hight from lower shock stud to the upper shock x member holes is a full 2feet. Geezpers

You have to run a 25" shock, if not you will have wheel hop. Several of the
70's station wagons used 25" shocks as well as pick up trucks.

I am running SS springs on my 63 Dodge so I went through the same thing.
