What size carbs for duals on a 318 poly?

I have an original dual carb manifold for a 318 poly. Could you recommend carb size?

Twin 4 barrels ?. The factory Carter 4 bbl carbs were only around 400 CFM.
Hard to come by if you want a factory look.
Also that manifold if a factory one may have a smaller bolt pattern.
The Edelbrock 500 CFM may work because it has both bolt patterns.

Are you looking to remain stock? If not, Holley has has 390cfm vacuum secondary 4bbl carbs. If money is not a major issue, throttle body EFI.

Don't think there is enough room for the 390's or fit the bolt pattern.
Maybe sideways with adapters.

Ya, probably not. Anyone have the carb spacing measurements? The originals were WCFB's weren't they? You would probably need to run adapters with Holleys anyway.
