what the roadrunner

Wait...where are the "It's your car do what you want" defenders?

It would be much easier to repaint this car than to reverse some of the other things people have done that have passed as 'acceptible'.

"Do what you want" is a slippery slope. If you take this position, it means you are OK with ANY mods people want to make; not just the ones you like.

If you want to criticize others for what they do to THEIR car, you have to be ready to accept criticism of YOUR car.

Be consistent.

I don't see where the ideals of "It's your car, do what you want" are compromised here...
It's just no one friggin likes it! And if someone preaches "do what you want", it sure in the hell doesn't mean they have to be OK or agree with everything someones does to it. Is that even possible to be that single minded??? **NO opinions from here on out, sorry, you said "do what you want"**

Maybe instead of beating around the bush you could of just spat out what you were thinking........."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it".

And honestly, I think we're all big boys here and accepted the reality people are going to criticize our cars no matter what.

Geeshhh

Point taken He can do what he wants with his car even if it is stupid, ugly and a complete abomination. And we're are allowed to clown on him.

It may have been done fairly early in the car's life (10 year old car) as that was a commonly done thing back then, but usually on VW vans by the flower children.
