what will a 1972 dodge charger split bench seat fit in 68 69 b body ??

would anyone know what years and models of a split bench seats will fit in my 1969 2 door hardtop satelite , road runner. thanks

68,69,70 B bodies are all compatible.

a 70 has a different latch , will fit ok but has the fancy pull up latch handle up top so you dont have to bend down to unlatch and pull the seat forward .

just an idea. I took a seat from a 67 A body(my dart) and put it into my satellite.

I had 2x2 square metal tubing that I bolted onto the bottom of the my seat, then I set the seat right where I wanted it. and bolted it to the floor. this only required drilling 4 holes in the metal tubing.. only "downside" to doing this is that it raises the seat's height 2 inches. It is definitely noticeably taller than stock height. but isn't too tall.

Thanks fredsmedina, is the a body seat as wide as the b body seat? i wonder if the b body seat cover woulsd fit on it. thanks again

I cant remember exactly at the moment, But i believe the Abody seat was only 1 inch shorter than the B-body seat. which meant tat I needed to change the bolt pattern inwards approx. a half an inch on each side.

I cant remember if it was an inch bigger or smaller.I can check when I get home though. but they are roughly the same size. not too sure about the seat cover though.

Does anyone have a measurement of the width of a front factory b-body bench from a 68-70? Maybe 2 measurements would be better...at the top of the back and across the part you sit on.
