Too bad too, it's a nice foundation to start on, you don't see a lot of practically rust free cars around here. 5k is a generous offer still imo. who knows i may get a call from him in a month or something saying it's a deal.I wouldn’t call the seller. Let him stew for a month or more and see what happens.
The seller paid $6,000 for it. Wow. Big block, 4 speed fever hit him hard.
I agree, if it's still a good car, no " needs restoration " or " you have to pump 60k into it" BS that you routinely hear.
But at the same time, you'd think the guy with the proud 6k price would show you it running for a minute
Sounds a bit greedy and lazy.
..oh and if the motors fucked at least you get to keep it for a core

The question should not be what it worth. But how deep are your pockets and is it a I just have to have. Sleep on it figure out what it going to cost to put back together and then double that.

AB 62 on the tag is 383 C is 4 speed, so that's correct. D is a brake option but I can't find 8, 9 there would be disk.
Looks like good quarters- hard to find and hard to fix right on 66/67.
Solid bones big block 4 speed is 7-8K in FL all day.
It's not 2019 any more.
If it ran and drove it could be 15K or more.

I've got 14 of the 1679 that were built, and working on 15 in another thread.
I can do it with the SO number and tag, but I'd love to have the VIN.

how about this, when i buy the car ill send you the vin and you can put my name next to it on the registry LOL. but seriously i really like this car. i may pay close to his ask just to have a nice foundation to start with. i love this era of b bodies. and yes i'll message you the vin, id love to see the registry you've got so far if it's available.

Lol. it's been set in since i saw the car for sure. i'm gonna sit on it for at least a month though before i do anything. got lots of things to do on my dart, torino, and my car trailer im re doing. one thing that's always stuck with me is when my uncle was alive he used to always say something like "cash in the bank doesn't do anything for you when you're just bones in a casket". and in that sense i wouldn't mind spending a little extra money to have a badass car that i'll have a lot of fun in. we will see as time goes what happens.The fever is setting in again.
So this guy bought a rust free 1966 Coronet for $6,000 and dumped it in a field with open windows and open carb? I don't even treat my parts cars like that! I have experience with people like that, and he will not sell it to you for $5K. He will let it rust into the dirt instead.

Never thought of that, considering the window is laying in the car why wouldn't a guy spend the hour to put it in so the inside of the car doesn't turn into an over engineered swimming pool. also coincidentally the car is from oklahoma. i wonder if you've ever passed the car and never even realized it.

I had another wagon but don't know what happened to the info.
I thought I had another convertible, too.
There seems to be a fair amount of four speeds. More than I initially thought.
I just made the spreadsheet from my pic folders today.
Eventually I'll add other options.
...and of course the one I actually own is not in there (DOH).
