Whats everyone working on?

i'll chime in here. i've been wanting to take the 6-pak off of my 69 coronet r/t for some time. the past couple days i dug out the 4bbl air cleaner and started painting stuff. i got to painting the lid and with mopar hemi orange paint and the the color is way off. this really pees me off. i can't repaint the engine while its in the car. the car had some torque thrust wheels on it and i bought new steel wheels and redlines (had the orignal hub caps), got that changed. seems like a stupid hangup for such a small change. cars! what we won't go thru for them.
 
After about a year and a half of planning, I've pulled the trigger on the next phase for the Super Bee. It centers around going from a mild mannered 440 to a 522 stroker. It will be stock Mopar orange and look like a stock 440. The Edelbrock intake is a little taller though. Here are some numbers on the new engine:

537 hp @ 5300 rpm
640 fpt @ 3600 rpm
Avg. 506 hp from 3000 - 5800 rpm

TTi supplied the headers, X pipe and 3" exhaust, which will be modified with cutouts. I'm going with a Quick Fuel 830 carb and a Classic Auto Air AC system.

There will be some subtle modifications that in the spirit of the '69 1/2 A12 cars. My stock, bulge hood is being replaced with a fiberglass, lift-off six pack hood. I'm planning to put on some custom "Stroker" decals on the hood scoop in favor of ones that say, "Six Pack." OE style steel wheels with red line tires will be replacing my stock, 14" road wheels and tires. The new rear tires are 275/60R15s (28" tall) and fronts are 215/65R15 (26" tall).

I'm installing a drive shaft loop, a Lakewood safety bellhousing, subframe connectors and torque boxes.

The next step will be to put on a set of Caltracs from Calvert Racing and install some repro seat and head rest covers, along with door panels.

The engine's in place. Just waiting on a clutch alignment tool to arrive so I can get on with the rest of the drivetrain.

Mine isint very fancy compared to these beauty's here but Saturday this Ram (97) gets here, if nothing changes, and ill be working on a transmission, The price was right and theirs only one bad place on the body... Hopefully the trans wont be a big issue..

my restored a12 superbee will blow smoke for the first time this week and next project a 1969 runner is waiting next to itfor paint
 
I am restoring the interior back to original on this, it was my late fathers car. This car transformed my dad from a Chevy guy to a hard core Mopar guy way back in 1976.

Well I'm SLOWLY working on my '66 BelvedereII. I just got the motor put together and finally found the intake I've been searching for thanks to another member here. This car is taking me quite a while due to the fact I have LIMITED space. My shop cannot be built due to new city laws so my little oversized 1 car garage has to do.:BangHead: Being married and having 2 young kids also takes a lot of time, as many of you know quite well. Unfortunatly my wife believes she can also throw stuff in there and the car disappears from time to time. Here is a pic of the car after removing some trim and a pic of the motor going into it. This one should run out well with what's in it.

Just finished my first Chrysler 2.7 re-build. Yes, not a fire-breathing V8, but just knowing how to re-build these can add cash to my hot-rod bottom line. I aim to become a pro at these motors. I worked at the factory, and have alot of experience and info on them.

I just finished putting the motor back in my '62 sedan. A link bar between two of the 440Source roller lifters broke and wiped out the cam. When I pulled the roller rockers off the 440Source shafts were galled and the bearings in the tips of the rockers were rough. I ended up replacing all the 440 source parts except the head castings. Lessons learned (again): Cheap and good don't go together.

replacing the window regulator for the quarter window on my 68 Charger. Any tips? I know it won't go back in as an assembly. There has to be a trick to the process.
 
Hey Joey...right now I just finished some interior work on 1973 RR...I bought a heater control unit and am just waiting for my husband to have a spare moment to help me install it....Marla
 
i changed my header gaskets to Remflex, fixed my thermostat housing(hopefully), put on a "meep meep" horn, fixed my turn signal switch, put in my RR floor mats.
Still waiting in the wings:
Install front and rear spoilers, swap shifter mechanism back to original and order a pistol grip shifter handle, get a 2500 stall convertor, and find a 355 center section.
 
The Kansas Belle is almost complete!

This has been a 3 year project. No, I haven't give up, yet...just a few set-backs. But that's car-crafting, right? For the record I have managed to hang onto all tools within my reach...no broken windows, holes in walls or chipped paint! Dahlia Lama, Dahlia Lama, Dahlia Lama...

You may recognize some of that trim...it came off your car! I now know why you chose to delete yours ($,$$$). King of Trim can do some good work...you might have to send it back for re-paint(!), but ultimately they do rather well.

Will have to start a different thread to provide the whole story to this `66 Belvedere II 'barn car', once I am done.

the 62 sedan is a great looking ride. You did a fantastic restoration
 
The Kansas Belle is one step closer to being finished! My 'barn car' has been 3 years in the making.

I have been battling an oil leak for 3 weeks. Thought it was the oil filter mounting plate, then thought it might be the pan, then thought it might be the rear main. I have replaced all, lying on my back, with the motor in the car(!)...the oil filter mount plate gasket has been replaced repeatedly. I guess the 3rd time was a charm. NO LEAKS with just over a hundred miles on the rebuild.
