Whats it Gonna Run?

I agree. Whatever works. Like asking what kind of oil to use!

I have approx. 50 runs so far. On hot sunny afternoon, last run was at 3:30 or so.
1.3869, 1.3817, 1.3852, 1.3778, 1.3785, 1.3859, 1.3854. Also Take in the fact the car 19ft long.
You know, that longer wheelbase could play a part in it. I don't know. I do know that both our results are proof of something, what, I don't know? But it is something.

My engine builder chopped the **** out of my collectors so I think Im giving up some bottom end.

That could be part of it. I was leaving on 225 hp of nitrous and about 600 ft lbs of torque or so.

Different track, different air conditions, equal different 60ft. If it is consistent tires are not the issue. My tires currently are at 75 passes. They usually go to around 150 passes. Now doing short 3 second burnouts, maybe even longer. Last weekend 60 ft didn't vary over .011 during a 2 day period of major weather swing and ballast changes. Depending on which track, weather, and ballast (3300-3500lbs to run 9.25 index), car will repeat at 1.25 at some, to as high as 1.29 at others.

And you're running low 9's at 155+ mph on 28x10.5 tires?

Runs 9.0x @3300 on 10.5x31. Best so far 8.98. Went 9.07 this past weekend @ 4000 D/A at Dragway 42. It won't run 155. Though I doubt that has any bearing on starting line. Then ballast was added. Ran up to 235 lbs this weekend to run 9.25 index. Still leaves just as hard carrying the tires about a foot or two short of the 60ft clocks. Just a little slower do to weight. The added weight is probably worse for the tire than running it flat out.

Looking at Doug's ET and MPH, with his experience, I think my buddy in the yellow Vette in the 9.2s is safe from my Roadrunner once I get the 572 RB and N²O system setup, but it's good, I think, to have him to "chase after". I think it will encourage me to get my Roadrunner all sorted out.
Now my best friend (we all know each other and are friends from our teens) has a 2JZ Conquest, and he's probably going to be pushing around 500 horsepower. That should be interesting to line up next to.
Another one of us has a big block Nova, and has been a "Chevy Guy" forever. I really want to show him my taillights!
Anyway, not to hijack. Thanks

Ok, so taller tire. That is moving out. Mine was making about 650 at the tire but was putting gobs more torque down due to the nitrous. I'm not the only one that swaps out small tires often, most of the heads up guys do. What I'll do sometime is have my old set on and make a few passes to get average 60ft, then put a new set on and see what happens. If it remains the same, which it never has for me, then I will stand corrected and not have to spend money on tires. Thanks guys, sorry to muck up OPs thread.
